Moodle divides the content you can add to a course into two overarching types – Activities and Resources. As their names suggest, "Activities" are things students do, while "Resources" are content items you upload into the course for students to view or to read. Moodle provides a wide range of Activities and Resource types, but in the figures below, we annotate the ones that we think are the most useful. You would add any of these activities or resources to a topic area by clicking on the Edit Mode button to turn editing on, then by clicking on the radio button next to the name of the activity/resource you wish to add. You would then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Add button to begin adding the activity/resource to your course. You can also double-click on the name of the activity/resource to launch the same process of adding the activity/resource to one of the topic areas in the course:
