Biology professor, Le Paliulis, asked her students to demonstrate understanding of course content a little differently this time around by asking them to produce a Cytogentic stop motion film. What is a Cytogenetic Stop motion film you might ask? Well it’s a stop motion video that animates a chromosome process, structure, or seminal experiment in Cytogenetics.
Students also learned a little bit about multi-modal storytelling by combining images with narration and music. They also wrote scripts, produced storyboards, and learned a little something about digital literacy and media fluency. Oh and BTW, the students loved it!
