What is Qualtrics?
Qualtrics is Web-based survey software that allows users to create complex or simple surveys, to distribute those surveys to specified panels or anonymously (by sending out a survey link), and to analyze survey results. Qualtrics includes various question types (multiple choice, matrix table, text entry, rank order, slider, etc.), can accommodate survey branching or question display logic, and contains an extensive library of customization options, all of which make Qualtrics a powerful survey creation tool.
Qualtrics is available to all Bucknell faculty, students and staff at http://bucknell.qualtrics.com. You log on to Qualtrics using your normal Bucknell credentials. The first time that you log on, you will be prompted for some information that is needed to set up your account.
Qualtrics has extensive online documentation at their Qualtrics University Support and Training site. We particularly recommend their Learn Qualtrics in 5 Steps tutorial as a way to learn to use the software.
For faculty and students doing independent-study research projects, if you would like some assistance getting started with or using Qualtrics, please feel free to contact us at itec@bucknell.edu.
