Bucknell students Caitlin Falco, Erich Gilbride, Tim Kim, Zander Massey, Digital Pedagogy & Scholarship Specialist for Video Brianna Derr, and Associate Professor of English and Film/Media Studies, Eric Faden arrived in Harrisburg to receive an award presented by Chief Judge Yvette Kane for the production of the 16 minute long documentary film COMING HOME: THE CARE PROGRAM.
CARE, Court Appointed Re-Entry Program, was originated by Chief Judge Yvette Kane in 2009, and takes an in-depth look at the re-entry process on a federal level. The U.S. Probation Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Harrisburg Rotary Club Mentors teamed up to help ex-offenders reacclimate themselves into the community. The goal of the video is to expose reluctant ex-offenders to the program and show how the program makes a difference. This video has the opportunity to be viewed by the U.S. Congress and the potential to reshape the re-entry process as we know it.
