One of the primary features of Moodle is the Assignment activity, which allows a faculty member to collect student work (essays, assignments, homework, etc.) via Moodle. If your instructor has added an Assignment activity to his/her Moodle course, then you can submit your written work to your instructor via that Assignment. Your submission will be time-stamped, and you (and your instructor) will be able to see what you submitted from that point onward.
The Assignment activity allows faculty members to add summary feedback to your assignment within a “Feedback comments” text box in Moodle, and it’s also possible for a faculty member to upload a commented version of your assignment into Moodle with marginal annotations representing his/her feedback to your work.
The Assignment activity process tends to involve three separate steps:
- Viewing the assignment
- Submitting the assignment
- Viewing instructor feedback
Here are detailed instructions on all three steps of that process.
