If you’d like to include an avatar with your Bucknell blogs profile, you’ll need to set up an account on Gravatar using your Bucknell email address. To do so, follow the steps below.
- Go to gravatar.com
- Click on the WordPress.com Sign In button on the upper right-hand corner
- You need a WordPress.com account that is linked to your Bucknell email address, if you have one, log in with that information; if you don’t have one, click on Create an Account
- Be sure to use your Bucknell email address to sign-up or the information will not transfer
- You will receive a confirmation email from WordPress.com to make sure you aren’t a bot. Click on the Activate Account button in the email, which will take you to an Activation Page
- The Activation Page will have a button that says Sign in to Gravatar, click on that button
- You’ll be taken to a page that will prompt you to Add an Image, you can upload an image or get one from a URL
- When you photo is uploaded, you will have the option to crop it. Once you have done so, click Crop and Finish
- The next page will ask you to select your Avatar’s rating, select G
- That’s it. When you log in to blogs.bucknell.edu you should see your new Gravatar profile picture in the upper right-hand corner next to your Profile name.
